Wow, what an incredible achievement! We kicked off our very first cleanup on June 25th, 2023, and was it a resounding success!

With overflowing enthusiasm, we sent out a powerful social media message to our vibrant community, urging residents to roll up their sleeves and join us in the fight against litter. And guess what? The response was absolutely astonishing!

We were blown away by the number of people who turned up, ready to make a difference. More
than 60 bags of trash were joyfully dumped, proving that when we come together, we can accomplish great things. But that’s not all!

To further boost our efforts, we went the extra mile and employed three unemployed laborers to tackle
the task of cleaning the paths. It’s heartwarming to witness the positive impact we can have on our
community by providing opportunities to those in need.

Sure, there’s still plenty of work to be done around the Vlei, but our spirits remain sky-high! We are
brimming with excitement because we wholeheartedly believe that our community and local businesses will rally together. Together, we will conquer every obstacle in our path and restore our beloved suburb to its former glory. With unwavering enthusiasm, we will transform our surroundings into a breathtaking haven once again!
